We repair rotten, swollen, chipped and termite-damaged door frames by rebuilding only the damaged section. No hacking and no new door needed.
What we repair
- Rotten frame bottoms: dark, soft or crumbling timber where the frame meets the floor.
- Swollen and split frames: from mopping water and bathroom splash.
- Termite damage: hollow timber that sounds empty when tapped. More on termite frames.
- Chipped and dented frames: from trolleys, furniture moves and pets.
- Peeling or faded frame finish: re-varnished to match the door.
How we repair a door frame
- Protect the floor and remove skirting or silicone where needed.
- Cut out the rotten section back to sound, dry timber.
- Splice in new seasoned timber, glued and fixed into the frame.
- Fill, shape and sand to the original profile.
- Stain and varnish to match, then seal the base against water.
Repair or full replacement?
We repair when the damage is limited to the lower part of the frame and the frame is still solid in the wall. When the damage goes further, we replace the frame. Both options are on our price list.

How much does door frame repair cost in Singapore?
Repairing the bottom of one side of a frame starts from $150. Both sides of one frame start from $250. Full frame replacement is quoted from photos. See our price list.
Will the repair be visible?
We match the stain and varnish to your existing frame. Up close you may see a fine joint line; from standing height it is very hard to spot.
Can you repair laminate door frames?
Yes. For laminate frames we rebuild the timber core and re-cover it in a matching laminate or paint finish. Send a photo so we can check what your frame is made of.
Is my frame too damaged to repair?
If the rot runs more than about half the frame height, the frame is loose in the wall, or termites have spread into the head, we'll recommend replacement.
