Where we see the most frame damage
Flats built in the 1970s–1990s in towns like Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Bedok, Bukit Merah and Clementi still often have their original timber door frames. After decades of mopping and bathroom splash, the bases are the first part to go. Termite cases come up most often in ground-floor units, landed homes and homes near greenery.
Landed estates such as Bukit Timah, Serangoon Gardens and East Coast are where we do most of our main door restoration, because large teak entrance doors take full sun.
